Merlion Group Enters the Robotic Warehouse Equipment Market

Merlion Group announces its entry into a new segment for the company – the distribution of robotic warehouse equipment and automation systems for intralogistics processes. The fulfillment operator Kaktus, which joined Merlion Group in 2022, has signed a distribution contract with Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer and developer of intelligent logistics solutions under the XGEN Robot brand. The document was signed on September 15, 2026, on the first day of CeMAT RUSSIA, Russia’s largest specialized exhibition of machinery, equipment, and automation tools for warehouse and production logistics.

For Merlion, entering the robotic warehouse equipment segment is a logical step. The group possesses its own extensive logistics infrastructure, manages the national retailers Citilink and Pozitronika, as well as the fulfilment operator «Kaktus», which works with major marketplaces and handles more than 150 000 online orders per month.

The Russian warehouse automation market is in a phase of active growth. It is driven by several factors at once: a shortage of warehouse personnel, the growth of e-commerce and requirements for order processing speed, as well as government support for the adoption of robotics in manufacturing and logistics. In particular, in 2025 the national project "Means of Production and Automation" was launched, designed for the period up to 2030.

Hefei Jingsong Intelligent Technology has been operating on the global market since 2007. The company develops and manufactures automated logistics warehouse systems, intelligent warehouse and logistics equipment, as well as warehouse management software.

Merlion's partnership with XGEN opens up access for Russian companies to the full range of intra-logistics robotics, up to and including autonomous robotic warehouse management systems. The combination of XGEN's technological base with Merlion's distribution, logistics and service capabilities will allow the B2B market to be offered not just equipment, but integrated turnkey projects.
