STARKIT LLC was founded by graduates of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in the spring of 2016. The initial goal was the development and production of commercial and warehouse equipment, ranging from simple shelving and plastic containers to complex automated warehouse systems.
While working on automated warehouse systems, the close-knit team of highly qualified specialists from STARKIT LLC began actively collaborating with the MIPT Laboratory of Wave Processes and Control Systems to implement another bold idea – to become world football champions. More precisely, to participate in the largest international robot football competitions, "RoboCup" and "FIRA," and achieve victory in them.
In the autumn of 2018, the "STARKIT" football team was created. By 2021, the team had already become the RoboCup world champion in the Humanoid KidSize league. In 2025, the team set a world record at the FIRA World Championship in South Korea.
