Warehouse Construction in Russian Regions Reaches a Record High

In the first nine months of 2025, regions across Russia (excluding Moscow and the Moscow region) saw a record 3.2 million square meters of new logistics facilities completed. This growth was primarily driven by the activity of online marketplaces, which accounted for more than half of all new space commissioned.

The construction of new logistics centers has led to the creation of 79.5 thousand jobs in the regions. The city of Voronezh led the ranking for marketplace-driven construction, with 219,000 square meters of new space brought online. It was followed by Rostov-on-Don and Samara.

The united company Wildberries & Russ became the largest developer of warehouse real estate among online retailers. In the first half of the year alone, the company commissioned 810,000 square meters of logistics complexes.

According to forecasts by analysts at CORE.XP, by the end of 2025, the volume of new warehouse construction in the regions could reach 5 million square meters. This would double the 2024 result and set an all-time record.
